How To Get an Absentee Ballot
HOW TO OBTAIN AN ABSENTEE BALLOT/VOTE IN ADVANCE:
In person or by mail, any registered voter can apply for an official ballot from the county clerk. When applying by mail, include your home address, county and address where the ballot is to be sent. The application must be signed by the voter and filed with the county clerk not later than 5:00 pm on the sixth day prior to the election. An application for in-person absentee voting at the courthouse shall be received by the county clerk not later than 5:00 pm on the day before the election. Persons unable to present themselves at their polling location on Election Day due to an emergency (within 48 hours prior to closing of the polls) may notify the county clerk and receive a ballot on Election Day.
