WHO WE ARE:
The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization (does not align with any particular political party) that works to promote political responsiblity through informed and active participation of citizens in government. It is a grassroots organization; we study issues from all angles, and our consensus results become part of action at local, state, and national levels. The League believes that the exercise of political responsibility, at the election polls and within one's political party, is a safeguard for democratic rights. Membership in the League is open to all people at least 18 years old.
The right and responsibility of informed voting is our fundamental concern, so this guide and website are presented as a voting and information tool for voters.
To join us or for more information, contact Betty Slifer at 326-5030 or www.lwvtf.org
